Business Plan Document
Terms & Process
Stage 1: Free Telephone Consultation
We provide a free telephone consultation. This will be an informal discussion so that we can understand more about you, your business and purpose of the business plan. During this process, we will ask several related questions for the purpose of gaining a clear understanding of the work.
Stage 2: Signing of Agreement and Deposit
We will send you an agreement with our terms and conditions, and scope of work. At this stage, we will ask for a minimum deposit of £500 or 25% – 40% of the agreed fee, (whichever the higher) to kick-off the work. A basic business plan, with a small degree of desk research, is £1,000 plus VAT. The cost of a deep dive business plan is £2,800 plus VAT. The cost of a strategic business plan where primary and secondary data is collected, analysed and used to inform the business plan is negotiated prior to kick-off.
Stage 3: Questionnaires & Research
Once we’ve received the signed enabling letter/consultants agreement, and deposit amount, we will start to prepare a concise questionnaire which will be emailed to you within 5 working days. We may also explore a business model canvas with you. We will request additional technical documents and permissions to visit sites, engage with relevant parties and carry out research which includes the purchase of articles and relevant statistics.
Stage 4: Draft Business Plan
Having received the completed questionnaires, and compiled a set of observational documents, we go on to compile a draft business plan document ready for viewing. This process can take between 2 – 8 weeks to complete depending on the complexity of the plan, the degree of information initially provided and the depth of research required.
Stage 5: Reviewing Business Plan
We generally review the draft business plan with all parties via a Zoom conference call. Amendments, updates and challenges will be noted during the conference call. After the specified amendments have been incorporated, we will move to stage 6.
Stage 6: Finalizing Your Business Plan
An invoice for the balance of the fee will be issued, followed by electronic and hard copies of the document(s), consisting of both pdf and Word versions of the business plan, the financial forecasts and appendices – including any additional information. We also publish bound documents for each case.
